I studied at Genki JACS for 3 months and in a nutshell I had a really great time! I didn´t expected to be able to interact with Japanese people so fast and be able to make many friends to enhance my Japanese. The concept of the lessons is really good, not speaking English in class is helpful to get used to talking the language. I started as a complete beginner and hit my goals in only 3 months. In Addition the schools offers a varity of extracuricular activities and no few trips around Kyushu.
I am what they call at Genki JACS (and in Japan in general) “a repeater”. It simpele means I have come back at Genki JACS. And why? I just feel so much at ease here. Last year I came for the first time at the recommendation of a young fellow Japanese language student in Belgium, and she proved herself right. The teachers are competent, friendly, pay attention to your individual needs and ... without exception have a humorous twitch. In fact I must extend this flattery to the office staff as well
I studied Japanese at Genki for five weeks and was very satisfied with the school. I was put in the right level at the beginning of my course and classes are fun, but also instructive. Teachers and staff are really nice and make one feel at home. Also my schoolmates were really fun and it is easy to make friends. Even tough there was some hassle with the registration I can definitely recommend this school and plan to come back.
I liked this school so much that I actually came back for another stay. The school is excellent in almost all regards. The teachers are always friendly. The staff is ready to help with any problem. The lessons have a good pace, progress is quite fast. Even so, we find the time to chat with the teachers quite a lot. Classes consist of 2-5 students, so the atmosphere is quite personal. Finding friends amoung the students proved to be very easy. Also met quite a few friends through my host family.
Originally I went to Genkijacs for four weeks but after two weeks I realized I liked it so much I ended up studying there for three months! The teachers are very friendly and motivated. In addition, the whole Genkijacs crew tries to make your time in Japan the best it can be, if you have any problems whatsoever they don't hesitate to help you. And every friday they organize a party together with Japanese students which is a great way to meet locals and use your new language skills!
